Commodity Management is the process of developing a systematic approach to inventory management for a group of items.  A site integrator selects suppliers to manage their own set of items.   This bring a level of consistency and knowledge to the particular commodity.

Dataware’s i3 product allows for multiple commodity managers or suppliers per each customer site.  Each manager controls the type of material they are expert in.   Both the integrator and customer access each managers data with the manager only seeing their own material.

This allows the customer the ability to let the supplier manage the material while they manage the supplier.
